Free running account (RA) bill maker for contractors
Bill each stage of a contract the way engineers check it: every BOQ item with its rate, the quantity done before, in this bill and up to date, the GST on this bill, and the deductions the client will make. Next month, one tap carries the quantities forward.
How to make a RA bill here
- Type your firm and the client. Your name, address, GSTIN and bank details once; then the client, the name of work, site and work order number.
- Add the BOQ items. Item number, description, unit, rate and BOQ quantity, as in your work order. Saved items come back with unit and rate.
- Enter quantities. Previous quantity (up to the last bill) and the quantity done in this bill. The up-to-date quantity is worked out, with a warning if it goes above the BOQ.
- Set GST and deductions. GST on this bill (18% in most cases), retention or security deposit, income-tax TDS, GST TDS for government clients, and any advance or material recovery.
- Save and print. The bill prints on A4 with the three quantity and three amount columns, the bill amount, every deduction and the net payable, and a place for the engineer’s and your signature.
- Next month, press "Next RA bill". Open the last bill from Saved RA bills: this bill’s quantities move into "previous", the RA number goes up by one, and you type only the new quantities.
